The latest edition of Japanese gaming publication Famitsu reveals that Square Enix’s First Production Department is handling the development of Final Fantasy X HD. The game is only in the initial stages of development which is why Square Enix hasn’t released much information about the eagerly anticipated game.

^ Exactly. I don’t understand why they are remaking Final Fantasy X, it does not need a remake at all….I would have much preferred a previous PS1 title. But I guess this is going aboard the whole HD collection thing that God of War started.
Square enix has money, and they know anything post FF9 is instant money, so dont expect SE to give us an HD remake of anything before 9 untill it needs money.

first thing i see, he claims the vita sold 170k in its second week, vg chartz says 70k for japan and 100k total
then in the comments i see a guy who claims the vita isnt doing well because poeple in japan only buy nintenod, and he says the psp and ps3 prove his point when both sold well in japan
