Andrew House, the president and group chief executive of Sony Computer Entertainment has told Bloomberg that the PlayStation Vita has already sold out in Japan ahead of Saturday’s launch. House stated that the system has sold out on pre-orders alone.

Yep, when they originally started taking preorders they sold out too and had to stop taking them because they didn’t know if the factories would be able to produce enough for all that demand.
Feb. 22nd please come soon…..
Although I do have a friend that’s importing it with a few games and memory cards so at least he can tell me all the pluses and minuses.
Oh and FIRST
Not a surprise. The original Sony PSP sold like crazy in Japan. Mainly because of the Monster Hunter series.
Those Japanese love that Monster Hunter series.
They are playing apple. ^^
Or Futurama’s Eye-Phone. Crowded storages, but a simulated tiny supply. :P
Well, the 3DS did the very same thing I recall…
